conky

Hi, I installed conky through software manager but it never appeared, so I went to terminal and typed in conky and I got this message. I have no idea what it means so any help would be great.

Conky: /home/james/.conkyrc: 30: no such configuration: 'on_bottom'
Conky: /home/james/.conkyrc: 63: no such configuration: 'border_margin'
Conky: use_spacer should have an argument of left, right, or none. 'no' seems to be some form of 'false', so defaulting to none.
Conky: /home/james/.conkyrc: 94: no such configuration: 'xmms_player'
Conky: got an endif without matching if
***** Imlib2 Developer Warning ***** :

This part of your Conky Script (problems) seem to be pretty self-explanatory.

Conky: /home/james/.conkyrc: 30: no such configuration: 'on_bottom'
Conky: /home/james/.conkyrc: 63: no such configuration: 'border_margin'
Conky: use_spacer should have an argument of left, right, or none. 'no' seems to be some form of 'false', so defaulting to none.
Conky: /home/james/.conkyrc: 94: no such configuration: 'xmms_player'
Conky: got an endif without matching if

You might try here, for a listing of proper Conky commands >> http://conky.sourceforge.net/variables.html
Or here, (more detailed) >> http://conky.sourceforge.net/docs.html
Conky Wiki >> http://wiki.conky.be/index.php?title=Conky_Wiki

Just change these . . . a little 'trial and error' . . . until it works.
Conky is simple to re-configure ... because changes are viewed instantly.
Then, you can easily try something else.

In the Conky thread, you might 'add' your entire Conky Script ... so that others can view it and tell you where to make corrections.

Mints Official "Conky Show-off" thread >> viewtopic.php?f=60&t=30209&p=184844&hilit=conky+script#p184844

But, do join the existing Conky thread and make your pleas for help and comments there.
There are many very knowledgeable people here about the inner-workings of Conky ... don't hesitate to ask.
