I installed conky all. But is crap compared with Pinguy. I googled it. The source forgepage is a mess and incomplete. The ubuntu thread was 99 pages long, and confusing as hell. None of the posts were intelligible. It looks like a great, lite program, just something that take hours to get on left, not flickering, with taskbar cpu / network graphs like pinguy. You cannot run a non bloatware machine without constantly monitoring bandwidth, processes, cpu and memory. Someone should have a script to install a good conky and monitor graphs.

Agreed PinguyOS does have an impressive Conky by default.

You would need to download and install the Conky apps from Synaptic (as suggested above).
Pinguy also, uses Lua and Conky--Colors ... add these to your Conky sources.

I find Lua harder to configure than a basic Conky.

I would visit the Pinguy Forums and ask them for the Conkyrc script.

Main Conky website > http://conky.sourceforge.net/
Conky-Wiki page > http://wiki.conky.be/index.php?title=Conky_Wiki
Official Conky blog > http://blog.conky.be/

Any of these sites, are very informative, and will help you to build a great Conky - system monitor.

I already managed to get the same PinguyOS conky configuration on my Mint desktop, it's quite tricky and requires a couple of small modifications, so I decided to write a little guideline.

I will post it later today as I'm too busy at the moment.

Give a look at the attached screenshot.

Cheers
