[SOLVED] Compiz hides window decorations

Postby hinks on Thu Jun 09, 2011 3:54 am

If I click on the left corner of any window (window drop down menu), the window decorations on all windows disappear. I do not have any special compiz settings (default katya install), the only thing I've set additionally is Horizontal virtual size to 4. Using compiz settings and disabling and re-enabling the 'Window decoration' under Effects, I get the decorations to appear again, until next click on the window drop down menu.

I'm having the same issue as the OP.

Reading the notes tells me to click on the Fusion icon in the menu and change the manager back to Metacity. When I do that - click on it - absolutely nothing happens.

So, if I just uninstall compiz, will that fix it?
