Compiz - wobbly windows etc

Postby jerry525 on Sun Oct 09, 2011 1:53 pm

Can't get it to work, tried:

mintjerry jerry # sudo apt-get purge xserver-xorg-video-nouveau xserver-xorg-video-nv
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package xserver-xorg-video-nv

mintjerry jerry # sudo apt-get install libgl1-mesa-dri libgl1-mesa-glx
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
libgl1-mesa-dri is already the newest version.
libgl1-mesa-glx is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded.

mintjerry jerry # sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

I also did compiz-replace but got "command not found"

When I drag windows I get a grid of lines come up.

Any ideas?

sounds trivial, but did you run "compiz-replace" or "compiz--replace" use the latter the with 2 dashes.

It is compiz<space>--replace or install and use fusion-icon package to swap window managers.
