HOWTO: reset your Compiz settings back to all defaults

Post by SiKing »

I just installed LM11-Katya on a friend's computer, and switched Compiz from the Wall to the Cube. That broke my desktop just as the release notes said it would. I really have to start reading those! :oops:
Anyway, simply switching back to the Wall did not fix the problem. Googling how to reset Compiz back to defaults produced nothing useful. Eventually I had to do:

Code: Select all

find $HOME -name *compiz* -exec rm -rf {} \;
followed by logout - login and everything is back to defaults.
Note that you do not need to do this as sudo, as everything is in your home.
