SOLUTION FOR ME : Install Fusion-Icon and select indirect rendering

Hi, i have a problem, the Compiz Effets don't work, i try to change settings, but nothing Happens. Here some aditional info :

Compiz-Check (with BumbleBee) :

Code: Select all

More than one graphics chip detected -- sorry, the script can not handle that.
 Aborting.
Compiz-Check (Intel HD 3000 only) : it tells me compiz won't work since I'm using the vesa driver.

My video cards :
GT 525M / Intel HD 3000
with BumbleBee.

What to do?

Which version of Mint and kernel do you use? Latest versions of kernel in Mint should support Intel out of the box. Then you can run Compiz on Intel card. (Intel saves energy and is more or less enough to run Compiz).
Maybe you should enable and apply level 4 and 5 updates (update the kernel) and then disable (for stability). Be careful not to install Guano 3 or Guano Shell, because they do not support Compiz.

Ok, the updates work, iv disabled my Nvidia and uninstalled BumbleBee, because i don't need it anymore, so i ron only on my Intel HD3000. But the compiz effects doenst work, at least not on MATE.

Output of Compiz-Check :

Code: Select all

fredy@Fred-Mint-12 ~ $ compiz-check

The vesa driver is not capable of running Compiz, you need to install
the proper driver for your graphics card.
