Gnome (Cairo Dock with effects) Docky "docklet" questions

I am having difficulties getting the "NPR" docklet and the "Weather" docklet to function with DOCKY on my desktop. My other (5) docklets work just fine!
I input the proper zip code or location with the NPR and/or Weather docklet into the search engine, and in the case of the Weather docklet it does come back OK with my correct location, but with NO actual weather feedback. It just sits there with default "0 degrees" with the question mark!
I get even less results no matter what zip code I enter into the NPR docklet search function, it comes back and says "No stations found".
Is there a bug with these two specific docklets, or am I lacking some additional factor?
