kernal upgrade halts system with blank screen

mint 12 rollback previous kernal upgrade

if you need to know anything to help post reply and put command i might need to use in terminal window so i can get info that may be needed!


what the issue is when i upgraded my kernal it rolled back due to error and now at startup i have to goto previous linux versions (to get to my older kernal).

so how can i made that previous kernal on menu the default option?

or uninstall new kernal so that it directs automattically to old kernal (old kernal that worked)?
