need recommendation of simple sandbox applications

Can anyone recommend some basic Python input and output consoles that can be used as sandboxes for experimenting with Python without having to save and execute an actual script? Both a textmode and a graphical solution (the latter launchable from textmode) would be appreciated.

I don't understand the question; perhaps you can detail it some more what exactly you mean with "input and output consoles that can be used as sandboxes".

You can start Python from the command line, entering interactive mode where you can run statements directly without having to put them in a file.
