Hi, everyone,

i have a problem with a simple script make to delete the psmouse mod from my Laptop after boot. (Hd problem with Trackball and Touchpad in Lenovo Laptop)

the script is very simple :

# Provides:
# Required-Start: $remote_fs $syslog
# Required-Stop: $remote_fs $syslog
# Default-Start: 2 3 4 5
# Default-Stop: 0 1 6
# Short-Description: Stop psmouse
# Description: Stop psmouse dal laptop lenovo.

rmmod psmouse

I put it in /etc/init.d,

then i use the command to allow the execution :

sudo chmod a+x /etc/init.d/

and then :

sudo update-rc.d defaults

but it don't works!!

do you have some good advice? do you notice some error?

Consider doing this ?
Code: Select all
rmmod psmouse 2> /tmp/error.log  #redirect the errors in a file.

Maybe using the verbose (-v) of rmmod could provide more info too.
