Thanks

I've since added KDE to it. Seems to be running smoother than Mint 12 KDE and Kubuntu 12.04..

My Arch Linux setup with Awesome WM. I use it on my 8 year old Pentium 4 and it runs very well and fast.

Latest Gnome 3 Desktop. Very usable when configured this way.

Just need a global menu.

Fluxbox WM with a Solid Menu and Window Decorations:

Fluxbox WM with Menu-Transparency 'enabled':

#! Crunchbang-10 . . . Debian Squeeze 'stable+backports' with Fluxbox WM

I like and need 'stable' for my work OS but I do like 'cutting-edge' as well.

Using the latest of everything with the stablity of Debian -- the 3.2.0-bpo.2 kernel and Iceweasel/Firefox-14 and Opera-13. Also, use Clementine as my Music Player.

Everything is customized - FluxboxMenu, Conky, tint2, Fluxbox-Styles/Theme/Scripts
I use the tint2-panel with Fluxbox -- I like it better than the fb-panel and fb-pager combined.

I have no idea where I found the background.

Hi All,

Back to Mint after a long absense. First shot is a simple Cinnamon desktop with the Weather applet and several other goodies in the Taskbar. The Weather applet is awesome!

Image

Next shot is where I spend a lot of time. It is the XBMC Media Center.

Image

I added SuperTV, NAVI and Free Cable to the basic set-up. I ended up killing my cable TV connection. Sorry that I can't post the link. This is one killer app that provides all the on-line Media that you ever want to watch or listen to. Cool!

Now that my new laptop is finally set how I like it, with LMDE and KDE, I've taken some screenshots. More pics and info on my system can be found at my blog.
