It's Cairo Dock. It's very flexible and a lot of fun to use.

And thanks, newW2 I like working from my desktop, but don't like the default folder icons. Changing them to stars - which blends in the background better - seemed like the best option.

xvedejas you just have to right click on the mint menu button and hit prefrences and then theres all sorts under there

I tested xubuntu 8.04 (Live only), slightly mintified!
Nice transparency right in XFCE, no compiz needed for that...
Oh and the start menu logo is cathbard's SVG read from a plugged in USB stick.

Here is my current desktop shot from this week. Some of you guys have got some pretty nice setups. Thanks for posting the pictures. I always enjoy these sort of posts.

Edit: For some reason the right side of my picture is cut off. I assume I made it too big for the boards image requirements, but I don't know how to make it use scroll bars like some of you have.

Edit2: I looked back through all the posts again, and I see someone has already posted the same wallpaper. Sorry I was not trying to steal your thunder. In fact I must have gotten this picture originally from you.

This is a question for Lantesh, I was wondering what program you use for the Clock at the top right side of your desktop. I have seen other pots showing widget type things on there desktops. I was hoping you could point me in the right direction. I am still new to Linux only been using it for about 5 months now. I have learned allot thanks to this forum but still have allot to learn. Thanks in advance for your help.

This is a question for Lantesh, I was wondering what program you use for the Clock at the top right side of your desktop.

The program is called screenlets. You can install it in Synaptic Package Manager, but I don't believe the latest version is in there yet. I'm trying to remember....I believe I got the version I'm using from removed. The nice thing about this program is that you can either display the widgets on your desktop, or in the widget layer of compiz-fusion. If you set them to the widget layer then you only see them when you press the F9 key on your keyboard. Otherwise the widgets are invisible. I have the clock on my desktop. What you don't see is my weather widget, which is hidden in the widget layer.
