Here's my LMDE set-up. I'm using it on an Asus Eee netbook which dual-boots with Windows XP.
I'm using an anime (Di Gi Charat) wallpaper by the way. It's SFW, but if you don't like anime, don't click on the links.

The wallpaper is a 800x600 Di Gi Charat image I found, but I edited so that it looked good on a 1024x600 display. If you want it, just ask.
Icons:
Any Color You Like. You can find them on GNOME-look and Deviantart. I'm using them because they're customizable and it's hard to find nice looking green icons. Most green icon themes use what looks like an off-green to me, which I don't like.
GTK/Metacity:
Nodoka-Gilouche with AuroraMint window borders with the colours altered to fit my light green theme. The Nodoka GTK theme can be found in the Debian (testing) repositories, while AuroraMint should be pre-installed in Mint Debian. If it isn't, then it should be in the Metacity theme package in the Debian repos.
Notes:
I like my desktops light and clean, and I am using GNOME Do to open stuff, seeing as menus are unpractical on netbooks, especially ones like the mint menu when viewing all applications (favpurites only is fine, so I have nothing on my desktop apart from the wallpaper and a panel set to auto-hide. Also, I have made the icons a darker green since I took those screen captures, as I thought the colour I was using would have looked better in a dark theme. The increased contrast makes them easier to see, too. I might post a pic of the new icon colour later
