Minty feel and look lost after upgrade

Postby Daan on Mon Nov 04, 2013 5:24 pm

Hi,

After an upgrade, my desktop environments (I can choose between Gnome, Cinnamon, MATE, among others), seem to have lost their Mint flavour. They all now have the default look of the respective desktop environments, like you would have on Debian testing proper. Also my bash prompt has lost its coloured letters.

How can I give them the Minty feel and look? Some package I can install?

Thanks, Daan
OS's I have used: Debian testing/stable, Ubuntu, Mint Debian, OpenSuse, Windoze

Installing "mint-meta-debian-cinnamon" solved the problem for Cinnamon on two of my laptops.

The problem was that in Cinnamon, the top bar of windows, which have the close, minimize and maximize buttons, had the default Gnome 3 look, which is ugly and wide. I just installed package "cinnamon" on another laptop, and then got this ugly look. Then I installed the above mentioned package, logged in and out, and now windows are elegant as they should be. :)
