Cinnamon getting slow?

Cinnamon getting slow?

Postby strae on Thu May 10, 2012 4:33 pm

Hi all, i just installed LMDE x64 with cinnamon, it works pretty good even with radeon drivers (my ati cards have many trouble, lmde+cinnamon works great!)

However, im experiencing a strange issue: the system get really slow as time passing.. i've read about a memory leak on cinnamon 1.0.2, but im using 1.4

Any idea, suggestion, test i can make?

Code: Select all
daniele@lmde~ $ uptime
21:35:19 up 48 min, 2 users, load average: 1,63, 0,71, 0,46
daniele@lmde~ $ sensors
acpitz-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1: +86.0°C (crit = +90.0°C)
temp2: +58.0°C (crit = +92.0°C)

radeon-pci-0200
Adapter: PCI adapter
temp1: +100.0°C

can this be the problem?

Definitely, the problem was the temperature.

The strange thing is that with both ubuntu 10.04/12.04 and windows 7 the temperature doesnt get so high... maybe radeon driver get it hot?
