Is it posssible to upgrade cinnamon desktop to the newer version 1.5.3 in LMDE?

If you're running LMDE, then yes. You will have to upgrade to the latest UP5 though which should be released any day now. The newer Cinammon has been compiled to work with Gnome 3.4 and won't work with the older version.

But if I'd like to install the newest version of LibreOffice? how can I do that or Have I to wait for the UP5?
