Font Colour change

Hi

Odd question, I logged into Cinnamon for the first time today, and have expierenced an odd problem. Fonts are white, which makes them difficult to read. For example the captions under icons are white in the settings tool.

I have tried changing cinnamon themes which seems to make no difference, I have also tried various gtk themes and other settings all seem to have no effect.

Any suggestions welcome.
