So,as the title says,is possible/advisable to nuke Marco altogether when using Compiz as window manager in a Mate environment? I'm asking because I'm trying Mintdebian and, after going through all the steps listed here
http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=199&t=103822 (in short, putting compiz --replace in start up applications and making it default, and setting compiz in the mateconf-editor as window manager),it only sort of works as of now:CPU usage is definitely back to normal, yet on system startup windows borders have no buttons and can't be dragged, only issuing the compiz --replace command in a terminal fixes the behavior, but then why would I still have to do this after setting it (hopefully..) once and for all in startup applications? Unless I'm still missing something here,is Marco still needed if you only want to use Compiz? If not,can it eventually be purged from the system or has it to be there as a fallback?
