Changing the clock font

I know this sounds trivial and is probably an easy fix, but I can't seem to change the font size on the clock in the system tray.

I have changed the font size in the Appearance tab in the Control Center (all five of them) and still the clock font size stays the same.

I have searches the forums for the past hour and can not find a solution.

I'm running LMDE 64 Mate and have updated to UP6 if that makes any difference.

Any suggestions?
