No Sound (SOLVED)

I have followed all the suggestions that I can find but still cannot get the sound to work.

This is the output from lspci

The sound works perfectly with LMDE Mate and other live cds of XFCE distros.

What DE are you using?
* Intel Core 2 DUO E6550 @ 2.33 GHz with 2 GB RAM.
* LinuxMint 13 w/ xfce4 @ /dev/sda1; Personal folder @ /dev/sda2; swap @ /dev/sda3

Did you try opening XFCE4's mixer and point to pulseaudio?

Solved the problem. The sound is pointing to alsamixer and so I installed Alsamixergui and unmuted the master. 100% sound now.
