Xfapplet unable to open Mate Applets

Xfapplet unable to open Mate Applets

Postby blakeyed on Fri Aug 24, 2012 9:06 pm

Hello,

I have just installed Linux Mint Debian XFCE in one of my old machines, but as I told in the subject, Xfapplet can't open Mate Applets. I have installed some of them but the only one applet I see is a Gnome network monitor.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I believe that xfapplet is for Gnome applets only (could be wrong about Mate, I don't use it).
If there is something special you need see if there is a Gnome equivalent and perhaps install that. :?:

Unfortunately, xfapplet with MATE support is present only in the main (i.e. Ubuntu-based) Mint edition.
Clem said it will make its way into LMDE but it's not known when it will happen.

Thank you. Maybe I do some more research.
