Log out Error

LM13 Xfce. Frequently I am gettindg the following error message while trying to log out and shutdown "Received error while trying to log out. Session manager must be in idle state when requesting a shutdown". I will proceed with shut down by Ctrl+Alt+F2 and then sudo shutdown -h now command. Its annoying at times. Can anybodyy help to fix it permenantly ?
