Trash cans and deleting.

I'm a recent turnover from Windows OS. I searched google, and didn't find what I was looking for, only similar subjects. In Windows, there is an option to remove the trash can and simply delete whatever file permanently whenever one presses delete or right click->delete. Is this available in XFCE? Also, I really like the speed of this OS. It's simply screaming. I have never been on something where the OS took so little time. Info: I'm running 64bit LMDE. Also, the installation disk I used mentions amd a few times, I have an i3, will this cause issues? No problems so far. :)

If you want to permanently delete a file you can hold down the Shift key while pressing Del or selecting Delete from the menu. Don't know if you can disable the trash.

Edit: moving your topic here as you are using LMDE...

If you're using pcmanfm, there's an option: Edit > Prefs > General

If you're using thunar:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ThunarCustomActions -> "Delete/Bypass Recycle Bin" or "Permanently Remove"
