List of games for linux

Post by ktheking »

Found a very nice list here : http://www.cahilig.net/2011/07/29/100-b ... inux-games

I've installed Enemy Territory that ran surprisingly well , although the sound gave me troubles to get it working.

That's a nice list, huge. I'm not a big gamer anymore, but I dabble off and on, thanks!

The game that I played more is OpenArena, I think is very good for low specs PC.

http://www.makeuseof.com/pages/best-linux-games. Of these, I found Scorched, Bzflag, Openarena, Nexuiz, and Alien-arena right in Package Manager. If you look for "games" in there I bet you find even more.

I have an ongoing list of freeware games that I update all the time.

This list had 34k games with 33% being native on Linux - http://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/2120 ... ames-list/

This is my wordpress - http://freeandlegalpcgames.wordpress.com/ - You can sort the games listed by the Linux tag. I am trying to find more time to update as I have a megaton of games installed on my Linux rigs all over the house but very little time to post them up.

I keep a list of games as well. Not free games, but games that successfully run in Wine and PlayOnLinux:

Urban Terror is my all-time favorite competitive FPS game, when I was playing it on Windows back in the day. Although its player base low now unfortunately.

However, I saw that they are developing Urban Terror HD using the Unreal 4 engine, and after they're done it'll be released for Steam. I cannot wait to play it. I mean, who doesn't like to parkour in an fps game? The only game that I know that does it right other than UT, is Titanfall
