Problems running League of Legends with Playonlinux

Post by thebarbiter »

Hi, I'm having some issues getting league of legends to run using play on linux. Everything appeared to install correctly, but at some point during updates within the client a bugsplat occured. I'm not sure exactly when as I wasn't in the room. Now when starting the client through playonlinux it hangs on the "league of legends" icon that pops up, it doesn't make it to the client updater.

Please let me know if any additional info is needed.

Newer updates by Riot Games can make it impossible to run LoL on virtual machines. They can simply break everything and you must keep that in mind until someone finds a work around, if there is any.

Yet overall you should also take care of your graphic-card-drivers, checking if they are up to date or if the "best" kernel drivers are installed. Since we don't know your system specs or what mint distribution you are using, we cannot help you more right now.

You may run "inxi -Fxz" in your console without " " and copy paste everything from there in here.

I'm fairly certain it's not an issue with my graphics drivers. The game did just receive an update, perhaps it broke playonlinux and I'll have to wait for an update.
