Nice idea ... I would have "Gimp 2.2" underneath the badge, though, not half-way over it... :? And perhaps not black?

Hehe, nice idea, I actually think it would be better if the logo wasn't kept inside the badge, but part of the splash image itself.

But such a neat idea, I didn't realize it could be changed. Hmm makes me wonder how many other applications can be branded.

I used the second splash screen. Thanks! The new splash looks much better than the default orange. The install path was different in Cassandra. /usr/share/gimp
