mint default theme has difficult contrast.

Post by timmie »

Hello,
I really like the arwork and it's the reason why I changed to LinuxMInt (besides the MintMenu).

I noticed that the contrast in dropdown menu/list is bad. Therefore, lists are diffucult to read.

This applies for example to
  • thunderbird email recipients selection (grey text on black)
  • natilus file type chooser (grey text on white)
Do you think you can improve the contrast in these cases?

Thanks for the nice linux.

Timmie

Preferences in the applications/system software you use, your choice for appearance

Hello,
some users here might have thought that this post is meant to put the artwork down.

Of course could I change the theme.
But I came to mint because of the elegance factor.
Meanwhile it is good looking, an artwork should also support the user in working with the system in an accessible way.
It was meant as hint for the next artwork.

All the best,
Timmie

I agree with you and I have tried to find a good solution. I found it in using the Sand theme. Looks cool and has an even better feeling!
