i will tell you right now that i did not create this theme or the wallpaper.

i used parts of Ubuntu Studio & Ubuntu Ultimate, and changed some backgrounds, and even added some minty stuff. the screenshot looks pretty good and wait till you install this bad boy! I like the mint wallpaper and it helps if you like dark themes.

This is an old post. The link for the theme works. The link for the wallpaper is not working but a search on gnome-look using "Mint" in the search will find the wallpaper. Well, you might have to look through quite a few pages but it is there.

Your right! The first time I clicked on the wallpaper link I got a 404 error. Glad it works just the same.

Looks great. I have a tangential question, though. What is the weather app or applet you are using in that screen shot. I've been looking for something like that for Gnome till the KDE CE comes out. What you have there looks just perfect if it provides overseas data. Thanks in advance.

Wow! The linux dark Mint Theme is awesome. The only problem is that search boxes in web pages are dark with dark letters making it difficult to read. But, the most important thing is that this loaded zip-zip with no problem. Please, Please do a tutorial on how you made it so easy to download for other programmers. If all software were so easy to download Linux Mint would quadruple in size overnight.

Theme is amazing i applyed the theme and the gear in the left hand coner is not the mint linux logo thanks get back to me and where you get the rest of the stuff you have on the theme

I really admire dark themes that can look good, yet still be readable while using various programs. I really enjoy the balance you have created with the color, as well. I am more of a blue person than a green person, though

Sorry, that I write in this old post, but I downloaded the theme and I can't install it. I tried to copy the folder into usr/share/themes but nothing happens. Can you tell me how to install this theme on linux mint 17.1 64bit? Thanks in advance!

Hello, vrizov.

The initial post and hence the theme are from 2007. Seems to be a Gnome2 theme. You cannot use such a theme on any current Linux Mint or Ubuntu any longer. Get rid of it.
