The backstory is that Asus did not send me a recovery CD after the pre-installed hard drive factory restore failed. I had several Linux distros, including a Mint partition, already installed in addition to W7.
In any event, I simply installed 2 versions of Mint (9 & 11) added Jupiter (for power management) and I've been using it ever since. In any case, here is a "Mintbook".
