I got bored and started tinkering with the menu button settings. I downloaded the Mint logo set from this section and decided to create a higher colour version of the default LXDE menu button. Find the attached and use if you like it.

To change, right click your menu button and select "Menu" Settings. Select the downloaded file by using the browse button. Click close to apply the change.

To revert to the original, please find it in the following location on your pc:

/usr/share/mint-lxde/images/mintmenu.png
