Hi,
Just a quick question.
Is there a plan to get bluetooth working on Mint 13 (maya) from install?
Bluetooth/cell phone is my only way to connect to the internet where I live, so, obviously, it's very important to me.
I've installed Mint 13 for my father and a few others (who have broadband) but have installed other flavours (Mandriva 2011 or Mageia 2) for others as bluetooth works with them.
I've looked at a fair few distros and would install Maya myself if it had a working bluetooth package. Love the look and the front end....always have tty if my fingers are itchy (very rarely nowadays).
I've approx 3 neighbours who want to install linux (or more accurately want to move away from MS). I can't recommend Linuxmint as it doesn't work in our situation - where bluetooth is a must.
Strange subject title for which I don't apologise. Looking at the community page and the registered installed base I think that 1648 problems is a fair percentage of the total installed base.
So - keen to install, keen to recommend Linuxmint but........can't really due to the reasons given. Drives me nuts when I boot maya via virtualbox and watch it happily connect to the internet via the cleverness of Oracle
Please fix it....pretty please with butter on etc....go on, we want to convert others but have difficulty as it stands.
Regards....
