[Cinnamon] network manager applet

Post by cra1g321 »

Recently switched from MATE to Cinnamon 8)

I've noticed that the Network Manager applet and window do not provide a way for me easily import my openVPN configs.

For example in the old Gnome 2 version, there was a import option which would automatically fill out all the required fields after i imported my .openvpn file.

I realised that the menu entry Network Settings in the applet opens the Network window, but doesn't open the Network Connections window which is what I am used to using with MATE.

I think it would be great if the applet had a menu entry for Network Connections, meaning i could just click the menu entry and the Network Connections program will open.

The applet currently has Network Settings which shows this window

and this is the window for Network Connections (nm-connection-editor)
