A Linux Ecosystem ?

Is there an opportunity for Mint to become the centrepiece of an alternative ecosystem based on linux products ?
By collaborating with a few key project teams to integrate their highly capable products, could an exceptional user experience be created ?
Is it possible to exploit the current bluetooth, wifi and 2G/3G/4G connectivity to enable seamless synchronisation and data transfer between today's available mobile devices and the Mint/Cinnamon desktop (Nokia N900/9 Series Meamo/Meego devices, and WeTab tablet for example) ?
Are any of the current desktop applications (SyncEvolution, SyncML, Conduit ?) capable of delivering an acceptable user experience ?
Would collaboration with say the Jolla team to build enhanced sync/transfer functionality into the next Mint release to support their new product range be feasible ?
Could a development strategy be created that would allow for significant growth in the range of mobile devices supported (as per CUPS / SANE) ?
Does this ecosystem approach present Mint/Cinnamon with an opportunity to offer a unique capabilty and thereby grow it's user base, sponsorship and funding streams ?

Lots of questions from a User, rather than a Developer...but that's where 90% of the market is.

P.S. LM 14 RC looks fantastic guys. Enormous effort. Well Done !

So, no-one else has noticed that we have had WeTab and Vivaldi tablets, Nokia N9/00 and Jolla Mobiles none of which want to talk to my Mint desktop ?
