ask question to exit when press cancel button whil copying

yesterday i was copying a huge data from my EXT hard to internal hard and it was only 10% to finish i press space mistake the first problem was the focus was on cancel button and the second problem it cancel my copying without ask any question "Are you sure to cancel"

My Os: Linux mint 14 cinnamon
and version of cinnamon : Cinnamon 1.6.7
