Super Boot Manager is a GUI tool to manage the plymouth splash screen at Mint start-up and shutdown. I think it should be preconfigured and preinstalled on Linux Mint to allow for better customization. It should also include a set of new Mint themes besides the currently available ones. I have been using it since the release Linux Mint Katya and it's very stable.

Well I, for one, can't get it to give me a splash during boot on Mint 14 Cinnamon

I'd like to have something moving instead of a back screen, even if it's five dots blinking, I don't care...I think this black screen during boot is horrible :/
