[Request] nemo-mate or nemo-minimal

I really like the Nemo file manager but I loathe Cinnamon as a desktop. Too bad, installing Nemo on its own absolutely requires Cinnamon. Is there enough interest in Nemo as a desktop replacing Caja to create a metapackage removing the Cinnamon requirement, and having it run on its own without triggering cinnamon-related errors when org.mate.desktop.session.required-components.filemanager is set to run nemo?
