Hi there,
Quite some time ago (hmm, like 2 years...) I saw a project from Sun: Looking Glass. For some time Sun developed it, since then I think it stopped. I recall it was developed in Java. I saw some demos and installed it on a Windows machine. Although it was extremely faulty, with many bugs and things to iron out, I thought, and still do, that is a wonderful concept.
I'm not a coder myself, but some people here are. So, I throw the coin: what about ressurecting the Looking Glass project and implement it on Mint?
Ideas? Thoughts?
Thx in advance.

Re: Looking Glass
I take it the repo is dead? I cannot find the package after adding the repo to sources.list. I tried looking glass a couple years ago on Fedora and while it was way too buggy to use it was kind of neat. Too bad this project died.ronnoc wrote:I see there is a .deb package for download on their website. I'll download later and play around with it - though I know nothing about Java programming. I used to use the now defunct 3DNA Desktop for Windows http://www.3dna.net/index.html - This looks like it could be something similar.
