Stumbled upon this last night. It's a program that aims to centralize all theme aspects (Splash, GDM, Theme, Icon, etc) into one program. It looks quite nice however I could not get it to work on my Jaunty VM and looks a little buggy.
Could be something worth keeping an eye on for the future.

Re: Epidermis
I saw that too, but havent had time to try it out.
Something like that would be a real plus for Mint (as mentioned in the other thread http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=22316)
Flimm and clem should get together and look at integrating it.
What sort of problems have you had?

Re: Epidermis
Oh, good find - I didn't see your post before.
Whenever I try installing something the installation hangs, I let it sit for 30 minutes or something, so I assumed something went wrong. Killed the program and then Epidermis wont start because of "pigment" corruption.
