My Mint7 has two desktop icons, where one will do.
Also, it's hard to find either an icon or a menu choice for an application called 'File Manager'.
I suggest we re-label the desktop 'Computer' icon as 'File Manager',
and that we delete the icon now called Mint Home.
'Computer' and 'Home' are already convenient choices of our 'File Manager' (Nautilus, to some).

Re: Mint Desktop Icons
I'd go the other way: remove the computer icon by default, as it's barely used, and generally speaking you normally want to open the "File Manager" at the home folder, where you can actually do stuff without being confused by the complex linux filesystem heirachy. I don't think renaming it File Manager helps at all, I think the default home indicates a standard folder icon, while still introducing the linux concept of a home folder.
