nautilus elementary should be default in mint.

Postby gizmodo on Sun Jun 13, 2010 11:08 am

well, in my opinion, nautilus elementary should be included in linux mint, it simpely fits the mint way, it is clean elegant and simple. also it has more customizatinion options.

The screenshots do look quite good, although it didn't look quite the same when I installed it with the ppa (maybe some extra config I have)

Certainly worth considering.

I would second this. I use nautilus elementary and it is far superior to nautilus.

I would also recommend GloobusPreview, it integrates fantastically with nautilus elementary.

Very agreed. Someone add this as an option instead of the default file browser... :D

+1 from me, as well. Minimalism can go too far, but I don't think I've ever used the file menu in nautilus in my life :D

Does nautlius elementary work in Isadora?

just installed the stable version of Mint 10 today (yes it's out, finally ;) ) and wanted to try the new features of Nautilus-Elementary, that is the embedded terminal (which is ok but as far as I'm concerned not a must) and - especially - clutterview! Love it - it's so elegant and it works like a charm. Used it to browse through my picture gallery and well, well, well...well done! Here's a link to what it looks like if some of u should be interested:

well, why not something new while they're at it? could be promising and if they keep such features like clutterview and come up with new things - i'd say go for it
