i'd like much much beter artwork for Mint. I mean, the new one for 3.1 is OK. Looks is very important thez days. i know i can change the wallpaper and icons, but i mean the default theme shud be like BANG!!! WOW. you know? kindof like
when i see PCLinuxOS. now that Distro has the looks.

other thing, is it possible to include more softwares by default? like AcidRip, K3B etc...maybe Skype?? or Picasa maybe?? VLC??

ANd i noticed Mint doesnt play VCD's. i would feel realy bad if an xp user watched me put a VCD n it doesnt play in Mint.

The main i would like for Darena is a brand new, much much improved artwork.
i jus think that Mint is a superb distro and it deserves a much beter artwork. Don't get me wrong. the one now is ok, but it needs improvement i feel.

Well, the cd is cramped as it is. There's simply not enough space for more. I too use VLC, but that's easy to install. apt install vlc.

VCD's? Who uses vcd's these days anyway? O_q

New command in Celena. Apt = 'sudo + apt-get'.

I love all these apps, the ones mentioned that I use most are K3B and Skype. Here's my idea: make a special "Beast" or "Super" edition or something like that that is a DVD iso. That way, the people who care enough can spend a couple of extra minutes downloading, and get the added apps they want. But don't go crazy just because you have 4.7 GB to work with on this. Bloatware est no bueano. Get apps that a lot of people use. Take a poll to decide what apps to include.

This has been discussed before, and I don't know anything about Clem changing his mind about this either. :) He wants cd-sized Mint. Ofcourse, the community could create and maintain such a jumbo-distro.

The KDE community edition is DVD-sized, and contains more software.
