Yes, there is no repository from removed but removed is featured on the following repository:

deb http://ubuntu.org.ua/ removed/

I wrote the repository in my sources.list some months ago and no problems occured so far.

"Foreign" repositories may always get you in trouble, so any such should be used with care and mostly be commented out and only used when needed to install
