You should be able to use the themes from Ubuntu just use Synaptic to install them.Openxworld wrote:As webmaster of 2 websites I have to use (one more time) a new distro for the maintenance.
I choose 'linuxmint' Daryna Beta.021
What I'd like to see :
-add/remove in the start menu or mintinstall
- a better way to choose sources for repository
- the possibility to use Ubuntu themes for the desktop
- more "uptodate" softwares : for example Firefox is running version 2.0.0.7 and mozilla has published to major updates.
- in Ubuntu HPLIP is native, not in Mint
- Filezilla could be added
- mintinstall does not provide a lot of softwares as under gusty
Just a feedback....
For Firefox we have to wait for Clem to have time to compile it.(2.0.09 was just released and Ubuntu needs to put it out 1st.)
I think HPLIP is installed just not shown in the menu.
I use FileZilla but not everyone does and the Live CD needs to be keep to size.
We have Facade47 working on the Software Portal.
He currently has a program to make it easier and he has add all the ones for Daryna.(currently at 81)
