Just wondering... Have you guys considered making the Windows button open the gnome menu? I guess it would be pretty cool for people comming from Windows machines.

I second that (also for kde version)

It is really a shame that nowadays, when every keyboard has that start button, it can't be used without fiddling around.

There's not much "fiddling" needed. Open "Control Center", select "Keyboard Shortcuts", in the "Desktop" section edit the "Show the Panel Menu" to use the "Windows (Super-L) key.

I do not know if this is supposed to happen, but the menu just pops up wherever the mouse is. It would look waaay better if it would open up as if it was clicked. Anywayz, just a suggestion. But hey, if someone knows how to make this work, please let me know. I do not mind doing things myself.

This is a(nother) feature request for the SUPER key to pop up the mintMenu. More than just the small panel menu that appears by the mouse.
