12 RC, Mint menu and gnome-shell doing the same thing

Hello, I'm a new Linux Mint user, I'm now trying the RC version, and I like the taskbar in the bottom, but Mint menu seems to do the same as gnome-shell, maybe slowly. My suggestion is to choose one of these to use, because seems to be redundant two menus to do the same thing.
