MintBackup Stalls on Zero Byte files during checksum calc

Turns out that I have several 0 byte files into my home folder that MintBackup trips up when doing a checksum. It hangs and can never complete the backup. Short of finding everything that meets this condition ahead of time, is there anyway to get MintBackup to work through these problems?
