mintupdate's windows in linuxmint 14 KDE don't open

I am using Linux Mint 14 Kde.
I have installed it on a new hard drive.
I can see the notification icon from Mintupdate but when I click on it the windows to enter the password open and after that..nothing.

In a terminal when I enter "mintupdate" here is what I get :

~$ Fontconfig warning: “etc/fonts/conf.d/50-user.conf”, line 9: reading configurations from ~/.fonts.conf is deprecated.
MintUpdate.py: Fatal IO error 11 (Recurso no disponible temporalmente) on X server :0.

what does it means?

unfortunately i can't see a fix for that

I have the exact same problem with mint 14 KDE. let's hope it will be fixed in the next version!
