Mint 13 Update "hash sum mismatch, failed to connect" errors

For the past few weeks I have had consistent issues with my mint update. I will post my computer specs and terminal info below, but first I'll describe the issue as best I can. I have ran the update manager and everytime so far I get error messages saying some of the packages could not be retrieved from the server... etc. To try and get a better answer as to what was happening I ran the "sudo apt update" command in the terminal and this was the outcome:

This is a consistent outcome and I have searched up and down the internet for answers, but haven't found anything solid. I do apologize if there is something I haven't found and this is a repost of someone else's issue. Also, I'll include below my laptop specs. Thanks for all your help!

Please, run the command

in a terminal window and post the screen output. It will display the list of repositories which mint update will try to query. This may give a hint as to why you keep on seeing error messages.

Good news: The repo list does not exhibit any fault. So this list should not be the root cause.
Bad news: This means you will have to look for a more sophisticated source of trouble like e.g. problems with internet connectivity in general or problem with DNS.

Hm, going through the "inxi -r" output and through the list of domain names appearing in the "sudo apt-get update" output which you posted first, I tend to think that the two do not match. There are names like e.g. http://linuxmint.mirrorcatalogs.com and http://repo.steampowered.com which appear in the apt-get output, but not in the "inxi -r" output, just as if the two lists had been created on two different machines.

A lot of errors mention http://linuxmint.mirrorcatalogs.com, but it is not in the "inxi -r" output. - How comes?

Thanks for being so prompt in your responses, it really saves me time. I'm unsure as to why those other errors are happening, I did a clean install today and I still get the same issue. Also, whenever I try to update from the update manager or from the terminal, it causes what must be a bug that immediatly cuts off my internet connection even though my connection status still says it's up and running just fine. I have to disconnect and reconnect my wireless. Just to be sure, I even tried using a wirelss usb adapter and that bug still occurs I'm really unsure what could be going on here

As you report that your internet connection breaks down regularly, shall we not assume that you experience a problem affecting your WLAN adapter rather than a problem affecting Mint Update. The Mint update problems seem to be the symptom of a different root cause.
So we should start looking at the root cause, shouldn't we.

Can you post the output of

please. The section labelled Network: will display the netward adapters which your machine has got and their status.
It may be a wise idea to look for error messages generated by the WLAN driver in the file /var/log/syslog, too.

Also would you have a chance of connecting your machine to the internet using the wired network adapter in order to find out whether the problem only affects your WLAN adapter or your internet access in general?
