RC to initial release - Should I do a fresh installation

Postby 9812713 on Mon Oct 20, 2008 10:57 am

Allo,

Just popping up a question about the proper installation methods.

I have installed Linux Mint 5 x64 RC and was wondering, now that the fully tested release is out, should I re-install, or should I be fine?

I have my system all updated and I am curious.

Thnx.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

No only two small changes which you can fix by editing the files by hand

* The medibuntu repositories were defined in both /etc/apt/sources.list and /etc/apt/sources.list.d
Fix by removing the entry from one of these

* The default Samba workgroup name in /etc/samba/smb.conf was “WORKGROUP” instead of “MSHOME”
Fix by changing the from WORKGROUP to MSHOME
