java not working with shiretoko

i tested my java through tjis applet:
java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml

Shiretoko, abd firefox 3.0.14 crashes then i have to end the process in order to launch a new shiretoko window. In opera though everything works flawlessly . Any ideas how i will work around the issue on firefox ???

I just tested with 3.0.14 - works fine
Note the three "help items" on that page - did you clear your cache?
